Oh, Sweet Palo Santo Wood from Peru and the beautiful Burseara Graveolens tree! Also called "Holy Wood" it is closely related to Frankincense, Myrrh, and Copal but has its own distinctive, woodsy fragrance. This Palo Santo is a renewable and completely natural aromatic wood that is bio-friendly as it is collected from fallen branches and trees. (Yes the Peruvian government protects these trees so none are cut for harvesting this wood).
The Ancient Incas used Palo Santo as a purifying, spiritual remedy and that practice continues in South America today. It is my personal favorite as it does not contain any additives or fragrance that may irritate. A little goes a long way too. You can easily mix it with other herbs and incense to create your own fragrances.
Traditionally Palo Santo is used not only in smudging and cleansing rituals, but also to bring Good Fortune, Creativity, and Health. I use it every day just to lift and calm my spirits. Beautiful! Wear this bracelet to enjoy the smell throughout your day!
